Safety Information & Conditions of Use
Rosedale Golf Course & Driving Range Inc. is a community-operated recreational facility currently undergoing restoration, maintenance and improvement works. Please read this information before using the course.
Risks and hazards
Golf and related activities involve risks of injury. Hazards at the course may include:
- Golf balls, clubs, moving equipment and other course users.
- Uneven or damaged ground, holes, exposed roots and slippery surfaces.
- Fallen branches, unstable trees and other natural hazards.
- Wildlife, insects, weather changes and poor visibility.
- Maintenance activities, equipment, temporary works and restricted areas.
Your responsibilities
Members and visitors are expected to exercise reasonable care for their own safety and the safety of others. In particular, please:
- Look for current warnings and assess conditions before starting play.
- Observe safety signs, barriers, restrictions and temporary closures.
- Keep clear of maintenance work, damaged areas and operating machinery.
- Be aware of other players and ensure it is safe before making a shot.
- Stop play and seek shelter when weather or other conditions make play unsafe.
- Report hazards, accidents and near misses to the committee as soon as practicable.
Acknowledgement of recreational risk
By participating in golf or other recreational activities at the course, you acknowledge that these activities carry risks of personal injury, including risks arising from the natural environment and the condition of the grounds. You should decide whether it is safe for you to participate and take reasonable precautions.
Liability and legal rights
This information is a safety warning and risk acknowledgement, not a waiver of legal rights or a guarantee that the course is free from hazards. Nothing on this page excludes or limits any rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. The club remains responsible for obligations imposed by applicable law.
